Western Esotericism
Matthew is a member of the Theosophical Society in Seattle, Washington, and an independent scholar of Western Esotericism.
Matthew received his bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and is a "Master of Liberal Arts (ALM), Harvard Extension School, Candidate (Religion)."
The Western Esoteric Tradition builds its system from concepts within the Sefer Yetzirah such as the 10 Sefirot and the 32 Mystical Paths of Wisdom.
The 22 Foundation Letters of the Hebrew "aleph-beth" are assigned differently to the Paths on the Tree of Life in Western Esotericism's Qabalah than the Tree of Life in mainline Judaic Kabbalah.
Matthew's research investigates the fusion points, the departures, and the omissions in the adoption of knowledge from the Sefer Yetzirah to the Western Esoteric Tradition.
